Wimbledon Warm-up Gets Underway

INTERNATIONAL:The biggest name in tennis, Roger Federer, was back on court on Monday, chasing his 11th Halle Open Title. The grass tournament is considered to be the big Wimbledon warm-up and marks Federer’s first match since he pulled out of the French Open over worries about his knee.

He cruised through the first round at Halle and has his eyes set on winning Wimbledon this year to claim a record-breaking 21 career Grand Slam titles. Federer is currently level with Rafael Nadal on 20, but Novak Djokovic is closing in on the legendary duo.

The Serbian won his 19th Grand Slam on Sunday, coming from two sets down to beat Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final of the French Open.

Federer has been out of action for over a year after double knee surgery and says he’s excited to be back on grass.
